The Independence Palace is not only a historical witness but also a unique architectural work, considered the most beautiful palace in Indochina at that time.

The palace was designed and built in the heart of the city, covering an area of 12 hectares, surrounded by four main roads.

When designing the Independence Palace, architect Ngô Viết Thụ wanted to find a cultural meaning for the building, so everything from the inside to the outside of the palace, all symbolized traditional philosophy, Eastern rituals, and the national character.
