An essential part of the visit is exploring the handmade spike traps—effective “weapons” of the Cu Chi guerrillas. History: The traps were ingeniously and diversely designed, based on the terrain and a deep understanding of the enemy. Famous traps such as the arched tunnel trap, clamp trap, and spike board trap caused heavy losses to enemy troops. They not only inflicted damage but also spread fear, lowering the enemy’s morale.
